Laura van Dolron is a young and upcoming theatre-director who has won several prizes with her particular brand of ‘stand up philosophy’.

She asked us to design and develop a website to promote her plays in both Belgium and the Netherlands. But she didn’t want a standard portfolio site, instead she wanted the site to have a familiar feel as though visitors were invited into her life and home. We opted to use screen-wide photography of the rooms in her appartement and a logo that was handwritten.

For the back-end we used WordPress because of its ease of use to update content. The site shows information about Lauras plays, sources of inspiration she enjoys, a calendar of upcoming dates and a question and aswer-section were visitors can ask Laura for advice.

The site is designed to be completely responsive and is layed-out on a CSS-grid that maintains the integrity of the design in different screensizes, all the way down to mobile screens.
